As with all our vintage instrument, this guitar has been given a full service and set up by the Vintage Instrument Workshop and includes our 3 year warranty. For sale is my rare 1947 Gibson ES-125 sunburst archtop electric guitar. All electronics and hardware are original, and this guitar has been refretted by our luthiers. This guitar is in very good condition, with minor signs of play wear and some patina and checking to the back of the body and the headstock. A single original Dog Ear P-90 in the neck position offers plenty of warmth with a good amount of bite when put through a cranked amp. Featuring a maple top in Sunburst with Mahogany back and side alogn with a Mahogany neck with a Rosewood fingerboard, this guitar plays effortlessly and has a typical '57 style Gibson neck profile, that is full feeling but very playable. I had a 1952 ES-125 for a few years, but sold it long ago for 300. Ive seen ones from the 60s & 70s in the 500-750 range and ones from the 40s & 50s in the 800 - 1200 range. It has such a great look and feel to it, and the single P-90 pickup sounds clear and crisp like a vintage single-coil should Completely looked over and set to go by our in-house luthiers.

This 1957 Gibson ES-125 is in all original condition and is a wonderful example of a full body ES-125. Think George Thorogood who has played a Gibson ES-125TDC his entire career. The original Gibsons arent that expensive over here. Here is a extremely clean ES-125 from 1958. Built in the same factory as the Gold Tops, 335's and Bursts of the period, they offer they same build quality and attention to detail for a fraction of the cost.
